This is performing “Trilaterus” at the Concert for Remembrance, 2007.  The Paparazzi were clicking away like crazy.  I hope they didn’t disturb the audience.  You can see the progression of grey hair from the next photo taken only a year and a half earlier.

My Italian bass before it was re-varnished.  In 2003 it had to have some 100-year-old ugly black varnish stripped off; varnish that had melted on a non-air conditioned cargo airplane.

 

Afterwards, with it’s new (original) color, dragonsblood.  A happy ending after all.  Bill Merchant did a fantastic job.  Check out his web site: www.merchantbass.com.
